  • AI and the future of work. The new roles and skills organisations are not yet preparing for.
  • Accessibility regulation. The European Accessibility Act, and twenty-five years of lessons from digital inclusion.

Long · 160 words

Patrizia (Pat) Bertini designs how digital product organisations work and how regulation fits inside them. She began in accessibility: she delivered Italy’s first accessible online bank, served on the W3C WCAG 2.0 Working Group and contributed to the EU’s UWEM evaluation methodology. She went on to doctoral research on privacy and consent at the London School of Economics, created the LegoViews interviewing method, and spent a decade leading design, research and R&D operations at Intuit, Babylon Health, TrueLayer and 8×8, where she ran a European Accessibility Act programme. In 2025 she founded Euler, a RegTech venture turning EU regulation into product obligations and audit-ready evidence. She now consults on the AI Act and DORA, writes for UX Collective, has chaired DesignOps London and the Rosenfeld Media DesignOps Summit, and has been a European Commission expert evaluator since 2006. She works in English, Italian and Hungarian.
